Tottenham vs Juventus: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

Spurs have a slight advantage as well as home backing behind them, but they come up against a team that haven’t lost since mid-November

Tottenham welcome Juventus to Wembley as the sides get set to contest the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Wednesday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men came from two goals down in the first leg to secure a 2-2 draw in Turin in February and, as such, they will feel confident in their ability to progress.

The concession of two goals, particularly at home, was a rare experience for Juve, but they will arrive in London without trepidation, especially considering how inconsistent Spurs’ form has been.

The tie is finely balanced and both sides will be equally determined to ensure their place in the last eight.

With Spurs boasting the away goal advantage from the first leg, Juventus’ hopes of progressing from the last 16 rely on their ability to score more goals than their hosts on Wednesday.

And Bianconeri coach Massimiliano Allegri, whose team have not been beaten in any competition since last November, believes fully in his players’ ability to do so, hinting at a vulnerability in the north London side’s defence.

“Tottenham are different compared to Lazio, they don’t defend as well,” Allegri told reporters after his side’s narrow victory over Lazio. “This win certainly helps our confidence as we will have to be good and lucky on Wednesday.”

However, while it may be true that Pochettino’s side have leaked goals – and against lesser opposition too – in recent weeks, it is also the case that they boast one of the most formidable strike-forces in Europe.

The likes of Giorgio Chiellini and co. are masters at shutting teams out, but they were unable to do so in Turin two weeks ago so will have to be on top of their game on Wednesday if they wish to overturn their hosts and make their way into the quarter-finals.
